My New Year’s resolution is to stop working nights and weekends and here I am at 10pm working. Tomorrow is a new day.
2009 is going to be great, I can just tell.

I was going to go and do some Christmas shopping today and I’m all ready to go out the door then this…

Nightmare.

Enough people have recommended this American ‘cop show’ to us now that we’ve decided to watch it. I’ve heard there’s even a forum been set up called ‘life after the wire’ or something similar for people who have finished watching it. We’re about 3 episodes in now. I’m looking forward to getting right into it.
P.S. Any ladies out there watching it?
She mimed badly, she danced a bit, she looked ok, you could see the line where her extensions meet her real hair, she looked fit, she didn’t seem quite there, she looked uncomfortable talking to Dermot, she didn’t say much, she didn’t know anything about the contestants, she looked like she wanted out of there. Overall, I got the impression she didn’t really want to be there and was just going through the motions. Not back to her best.
The woman has just had an emotional breakdown (which was plastered all over the papers and magazines), been addicted to drugs and alcohol and lost (gave up) her kids. Why on earth are her parents/management letting her go out and perform again? You just get the impression they’re winding her up, putting make-up on her and pushing her out on stage. I feel sorry for her.
Her new song, Womaniser, has really grown on me though.
Have you ever seen those men with stripey scarves tied in a certain way to give a wee knot at the front? They are in the ‘Stripey Scarf Gang’. Members of this gang are men approximately 30-46 years old and they might also be wearing denims with suit jackets.
To be in the gang the scarf MUST be stripey and it MUST be tied with a knot at the front. See if you can spot any gang members at the weekend, I bet you do.
We watched Taken (starring Liam Neeson) the other night. I really enjoyed it, it’s a real Friday night, ’no-brainer’ film. Easy to follow, fast paced, good guys beat the bad guys etc etc. I’m not normally into fight scenes but the fight scenes were excellent too - no blurry cameras in sight.
My only criticism was that the end was a bit unimaginative, no surprises or twists but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the film.

This is Boomer and I am sending this from my Flickr account, it’s really just a test.
What a load of rubbish. I can’t believe Louis & Simon kept that Spanish bird in. There’s no doubt that she’s got a really strong voice (and big, wobbly udders) but she’s so dated and eighties. Maybe they were choosing tactically.
Anyway, I really want Daniel to win now because he’s shite and it serves the judges right for putting him through in the first place and it would also be hilarious.
VOTE DANIEL!
