This is one of my favourite programmes on TV and it has been for a long time. I watched it way back in the day before it hit the big time. The format of the show’s perfect, you have real people cooking a 3 course meal for 4 strangers who come to their house and the next night someone else cooks and so on, then they all vote who was best. The voice over guy’s wit and sarcasm also add to the show. But…
What Channel 4 have done with the latest series is taken all the good bits of the show and exaggerated them so the focus is now on stupid contestants who can’t really cook getting the piss taken out of them by the voice over guy. Also, the show is edited so that the contestants look like they are fighting with each other all the time. It’s like Big Brother with cooking.
What was previously one of the best bits of the show – the sarcy voice over guy – is now quite irritating as he make a sarcastic comment or an exaggerated hmmm or huff sound every time the contestants speak or do anything. I still like the show but it’s annoying, why can’t they just leave a good format alone?

I find it hard to watch any TV programmes over here because of the insane amount of adverts.I sometimes watch Ramsay,s Kitchen Nightmares and Dragon,s Den on BBC America.

I love it too but have really gone off it in the last few months for the same reasons
I think my favourite ever was the episode with the incredibly rude, snotty and obnoxious blonde bint was purposely marking everyone very low marks regardless of their ability to cook so she could win. She ended up getting pulled up at the end and had to remark everyones meals. I don’t shout often at the telly but that silly cow got right on me tatas…

Well thank God someone agrees with me. I remember that episode, did someone not end up crying?

Your right , Lynn. It used to be great , with normal people on it . Now i think they try to put people (that can’t cook) who are complete opposites together for arguments. Did you see the contestants the other week ? The crazy gay guy who looked a bit like an ugly verion of lloyd from corrie and the mad blonde burd fell asleep at her own night !

Yeh Erin, that episode was mad. That crazy guy seemed a bit mentally ill and as for the blonde bird, her behaviour was so unbelievable… maybe they were all actors, it all seemed a bit staged don’t you think?

You could be right Lynn . You just wouldn’t fall asleep at your own dinner party then greet that you came last ! That wee gay guy was something else , i have never seen such a needy wee attention seeker in my life , i thought he was joking at first !

Yip I agree with you Lynn. That voice over guy’s takin it too far now with the sarcy comments. An occasional huff or puff would be enough.
Erin, yeah that guy last week who kept going into a strop was something else. It was obvious he fancied the chuckle brother & spitting the dummy when the blonde girl was getting all of his attention. Funny!

This weeks ‘Come Dine With Me’ isn’t too bad actually. Normal people and no ‘over the top’ voice over. Maybe they filmed this one first.

Ach, I always miss when it’s on. The odd time I have watched it I’ve really enjoyed it. I watched Celebrity Come Dine With Me when Michelle Heaton, Lee from Blue and Peter Stringfellow were on it (can’t remember who else), it was quite good. Bunch of twats they were.

Well this weeks bunch were pritty normal ! However ,the reaction last nyt when they found out who won was hilarious . All that ” oh i dont care if i win , i’v made great new friends” went straight out the window , haha.
