I won money again

By Lynn

I just added some money into my National Lottery account to play the lottery at the weekend, I had a couple of pounds left in my account so I played a daft wee online game of Snakes & Ladders and I won another tenner! Woohoo.

    Hi lynn.
Been interested in Limmy’s stuff for a while & went to the fringe show. Getting interested in the blog community on the sites & thought i’d visit yours.
I,ve got an online betting account with one of the bookies & put £30 in in March. Betting on football i’ve got up to aboot £200 but keep going back to under fifty – flutuating all the time. I keep telling the wife it’s virtual money & unless i get to 500 i’m not lifting it or putting more in.
Without getting ethical about betting it is a wee bit of sport eh? Gambling a sin?

  2. Dark Raven Says:

Well thats the money for your red wine?

  3. Lynn Says:

    Kenny, welcome.

I think if I went from £30 to £200 I would withdraw the money, that’s a good bit of cash. But on saying that, it’s money you wouldn’t have had so it doesn’t really matter. It’s good fun to gamble as long as you have limits that you stick to.

I’m not sure if you were serious when you asked if gambling is a sin, I don’t think gambling is a sin because I don’t believe in God.

I gambled in Las Vegas once and I got a bit carried away, I started with $20 and I won and won on roulette until I was up to about $120. I went back to the room with my winnings then thought ‘fuck it, I’m going back down’ so then went back to the roulette table and lost the lot. I think I lost control that night, I blame the free drinks.

    cheers lynn
    i wasn’t serious. i’m an athiest & religous about it :-)
it definitely gets a grip of you. I put £60 on last week to win £40 back – it was a cert! Wullie Hill certainly isn’t feeling the pinch of the recession

  5. Kenny A Says:

what red wine Dark raven? I bet you i don’t drink red wine :-)

  6. Lynn Says:

Well thank God for that Kenny A or you would be going straight to HELL.

Lynn, do you trust the National Lottery to email you if you win? I’m panicking now in case I’ve been winning in the last few weeks and they’ve not emailed to tell me, and I lose my millions because I forgot to check. Shit.

  9. Lynn Says:

Rachel, I think the safest way to play the lottery is online as the money automatically goes into your account if you win. So, even if they dont email you to let you know, the money will still sit there until you withdraw it. God please let me win.

  10. Dark Raven Says:

    Good luck girls :)

I’m so easily influenced – you have made me want to go over to the site and have a wee shot now. I registred a few years ago when I didn’t have time to go out and get a ticket – my husband had asked me to get one for him while he was at work – and that was the one and only time I ever did the lottery. I am positively encouraged by your wins though Lynn.

Couldnae sub me a fiver ’til I get my giro, could ye?

  13. Zeus Says:

I am now officially addicted to national lottery online gambling

    Thanks Lynn ;)

  14. Lynn Says:

    Zeus, repeat after me.

It’s good fun to gamble as long as you have limits that you stick to. It’s good fun to gamble as long as you have limits that you stick to. It’s good fun to gamble as long as you have limits that you stick to…

  15. Zeus Says:

Hmmmmm why did you not recite this before you went to Las Vegas?

  16. Lynn Says:

Well Zeus, that was a one off plus the pints of free wine constantly being poured into me didn’t help.

It won’t happen again, it won’t matter actually after I win the jackpot this week.

  17. Dark Raven Says:

hi Lynn :) Have you won anything this week? I am going to REM gig themorra. Looking forward to it. Still tickets left if someone is interrested joinin the gig.

  18. Lynn Says:

No, I didn’t win anything this week, it’s the jackpot for me next week!

  19. Zeus Says:

I hope you never win the Lottery as something tells me you’d be very VERY tight with your money!!!!!

This was in the Metro today -

I’m actually quite tempted. £25 is a bit steep for a ticket, but then, imagine if you won! I remember watching that episode of Grand Designs (I am obsessed with it and Location Location Location – what a sad fool I am) and thinking it was a cool house.

  21. Lynn Says:

Tiffany, you’ve got to be in it to win it but I don’t know if I’d stump up £25 to enter a competition.

I love the property programmes too but Sarah Beeny is my favourite.

  22. Tiffany Says:

Lynn I think I’m going to take a chance. £25 is a bit steep, you’re right, but fuck it, I’m feeling like taking the chance. I was speaking to my husband about it and I think he might give it a wee go too.

I normally never do stuff like that, enter things/do the lottery etc, but I’m curious to see if I’ll have any good luck with it.

Re: Sarah Beeny – ooh I do love her, but my favourite has to be Kevin McCloud on Grand Designs, closely followed by Phil and Kirsty. Sarah can be too nice at times when se’s dealing with the complete and utter wankers!
