Something happened

By Lynn

A big tree fell down in our garden at the weekend during the stormy weather. It’s massive and is currently taking up all the garden. I took a picture of Brian standing on the trunk to give you a sense of perspective.

Wow, hopefully you didnt get any damages on your flat or so? Whose job is it now to make it nice there?? If its yourself that has to carry away the messy things you might need a such one Lynn ( http://www.jonsered.co.uk/node246.aspx ) (btw; nice wood for drying , then great wood for the cold periods: (http://www.jotul.com/en-gb/wwwjotulukcom/Main-Menu/Dealers/Strathclyde/?ShowID=48229&ModeID=&ShowType=&ShowRegion=#48229)

No there werent any damages to the flat, it just missed the building luckily.

  3. BigFatJim Says:

are you going to chop it up for firewood ?

  4. lynnmcg Says:

It has taken about 6 men, 3 days to get most of the tree away and the trunks still there. I hope they are using the wood for something, it looked nice when it was all chopped up.

That s good to hear Lynn:)
    What saws do they use?
Are they lazy workers as 6 men and 3 days , for me it sounds waay to much time on one tree even it was a huge one..ยจ’
You can earn some extra money by selling the wood after it s nice dried(in about a year.. just store it a place under a roof and on some stones eg..)…. or aren`t there any marked for that in Glasgow?
The type of tree is one of the best resources for a good heat in the house for them who has that kind of extra warming…

Its certainly a whopper. Were you in the house when it fell? what was the sound like?

    CCCCCCCCCCCCraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaackKKKKshhhhhhh!?

  7. Scandinavian Lassie Says:

How is it going with the working? are they finished now?

  8. lynnmcg Says:

The tree has been removed but some wood has been left to dry. It’ll probably be dry in about 5 years.
